I’m concerned about the health of my community, my state and my nation. With obesity and related diseases continuing to rise, cancer rates at unbelievable levels and addictions at an all-time high, it’s important to me that we are carefully safeguarding the health and wellbeing of the population.
We’ve seen the damage done by lack of regulation on imported toothpaste, meat and vegetables in just the past year! Add that to the fast food, prescription drugs and toxic chemicals that go into Americans’ bodies every day, and we have a very serious problem on our hands.
For me, maintaining a vegan diet and researching where my food and products come from is my personal defense against toxic chemicals, harmful foods and unsafe products. It would be a much better system, though, if there were regulations doing the checks for me. It’s long past time to crack down on toxic products, drugs and foods that are making our country unhealthy and unsustainable.
