Heather Ziegler, Mother and Social Worker My concern is that unsuspecting US citizens are utilizing products that have potential cancer-causing properties. Of particular concern is that children are most susceptible. Newborns' brand-new, beautiful skin gets lathered with phthalates, parabens and more. Lotions, shampoos, creams and more are lathered onto the skin leaching potentially harmful chemicals into our bloodstream. Consequences could include developmental delays, disabilities, hormonal imbalances, and more.

Then I’m also concerned about the chemicals in toys, furniture, carpets and more. I’m REALLY concerned about the toxins in toys since children mouth them, because that’s developmentally appropriate. Children use their mouths as their first tool for identifying and categorizing their world. I would want our country to value the lives of its children, of its next generations the same way I love my daughter.
