ShelAnderson250In the 80’s I was an outreach person for an organization that was working to help Spanish-speaking farmworkers avoid the dangers of pesticides. One of my task was to translate the list of herbicides, pesticides, and hormorns used on peach trees. Over 20 compounds were listed; 5 were known cancer-causing chemicals. But what has stayed with me all these years were all the chemicals, including the carriers for the major toxins, which HAD NEVER BEEN TESTED!

I would never eat a peach which is not certified organic. In our country, we have an unknown number of chemicals used in our food, clothing, and furniture which may be compromising our national health. Because of our policy that a toxin must be without doubt shown to be dangerous, we are risking our children and generations to come. Remember the battle over tobacco? It’s playing out now times 1000.
